New Renewal Notification Process
Beginning in January 2008 membership renewal notices will be processed in bulk each quarter. Members with renewal dates between January 1, 2008 and March 31, 2008 will receive an email reminder prior to January 1. The reminder will show the renewal/expiration date and provide renewal instructions.
In January all members who have not renewed will receive a hard copy renewal notice by US Mail. A second email notice will be sent in February and a final hard copy will be sent in March. At the end of March all memberships that have not been renewed will be terminated.
The same process will be followed for memberships with renewal dates between April 1 and June 30, 2008; July 1 and September 30; and October 1 and December 31.
Members will still pay for and receive a full year's membership, only the notification prcess will change. Regardless of the notifcations, members are not required to pay their dues prior to the renewal date. However, if they do their new membership renewal date will be calculated at 12 months from the recorded renewal date and not from the payment date. By updating on the renewal date members are assured that they are not losing any membership time by pre-paying their dues.
